Email Newsletter - Spring 2008
Dear Friend and Associate,
Spring is in full swing and with it, we've seen much needed rain and warmer temperatures. We've also seen rising costs in oil, leading to price inflation on just about everything that travels by truck or plane. Despite the grim economic outlook, we are not significantly raising prices. Our latest pricing update on May 12 saw a slight increase on only our epoxy products and we are committed to keeping our prices as low as possible. We strive to offer the very best chemical grout and epoxy products at the best value and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
We have four new people joining our Sales and Marketing Team: Leigh Kite, Nick Knapp, Jeremy West, and Brandon Brumfield. Leigh is our new PR and Marketing Coordinator and she's already doing a great job getting press releases published in various trade magazines. Nick joins our sales team and is the primary contact for municipalities. Jeremy is our new Project Manager and is focusing his efforts on increasing awareness of our polyurethane grout products for use in soil stabilization, and Brandon has joined the sales team as the primary contact for contractors.
We've also made improvements to our Flowmaster Resin Dispensing System and it's better than ever. We've added a few features and tweaked a few things to make it easier to operate. We have also created a blog where we can post product news and updates and where our customers can leave comments and let us know how we are doing. Keep reading this newsletter for more about what we've been up to!
We will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observation of the Memorial Day holiday. We will reopen at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27th.
Wishing you a wonderful, fun-filled Memorial Day holiday,
Michelle Robinson
Marketing Manager

New and Improved Flowmaster Resin Dispensing System
We introduced the original Flowmaster Resin Dispensing System in 1992. Since then, it has come a long way in terms of design and ease of use, though it hasn’t strayed far from its original purpose: to provide a means of dispensing a variety of products while being easy to operate.
We reintroduced the Flowmaster late last year and displayed it at the World of Concrete Show in Las Vegas. Since then, we’ve been working on improving it even more and we are excited to unveil the lastest model. We haven’t changed much, but what we have changed will make a big difference by increasing the Flowmaster’s reliability and making it just that much more user friendly to operate.
Some features we’ve upgraded or added:
1. We’ve added two 10 gallon, full drain tanks with easy access and simple plumbing for quick change.
2. We’ve added a built-in tool tray and static mixer holder to give you a convenient way to access equipment.
3. A night-cap is now standard to eliminate flushing the pump between work days.
4. A free-moving boom is optional to hold excess hose off of the floor and away from your work area.
Other features include a dispensing gun that allows materials to be injected while standing or walking; an Iso-neutralizer Recirculation System that prevents crystallization around the piston rod caused by humidity; an air compressor that can be installed to provide on-board power (electric or gas) at an additional charge; and an air motor that delivers efficient, consistent operation without any gears or belts that can jam or break.

Introducing Our Blog: A Place for Our Customers to Let Us Know How We're Doing!
We are excited to introduce our new blog as a place for our customers to receive news and product updates and to let us know how we are doing. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog."
We hope to build this blog into an online community where we can interact with our customers and really listen to what you have to say about our products and services. You can find a link to the blog on the top navigational bar on our website, or by typing www.primeresins.com/blog in to the address window of any web browser. Prime Resins Featured in the March issue of Concrete Monthly: Polyurethane Chemical
Grouting
There
are many options for repairing leaks in concrete structures. One of the
oldest, yet least understood repair methods, utilizes polyurethane chemical
grouts that react with water to either bond with the concrete to form watertight,
permanent seals or to become rigid, filling voids and stabilizing soil. According to the National Association of Sewer Service
Companies (NASSCO), chemical grout was first developed in 1955. Since that
time, it has been used in sewers, manholes, tanks, vaults, tunnels, and
other applications all over the world. Recent Studies and more than 40 years
of experience indicate that America's first trenchless technology is still
the best, most cost-effective, long-term defense against infiltration of
groundwater into structurally sound sewer systems. (Source: nassco.org/messageboardimages/4.01.pdf)

Report Card for America's Infrastructure: Updated for 2008
ASCE's 2005 Report Card for America's Infrastructure assessed the condition
and capacity of our nation's public works with an overall grade of D. ASCE
estimates that $1.6 trillion is needed over a five-year period to bring
the nation's infrastructure to good condition. While long term solutions
are needed, in the short term, small steps can be taken by the 110th Congress
to improve our nation's failing infrastructure.
The Action Plan So Far?
Over the last year, Congress has worked to achieve the goals set by the
Infrastructure Action Plan. Among the completed successes:
* SAFETEA-LU funding guarantees,
* Small Watershed Dam funding,
* Water Resources Development Act.
Still in process:
* the National Infrastructure Improvement Act,
* FAA Reauthorization,
* The Water Quality Financing Act,
* Dam Rehabilitation and Repair Act.
These successes are admirable and represent significant
improvements to our nation's infrastructure, but a great deal of work remains.
Use this updated Infrastructure Action Plan as a status report and a checklist
for this year's work.

of Civil Engineers (ASCE), visit www.asce.org/reportcard/2005/actionplan07.cfm.

experience repairing leaks with Prime-Flex 900LVSF.
Our next training classes have been scheduled as follows:
- November 10-11, 2008: Leak Repair
- December 8, 2008: Soil Stabilization
