Old Spanish Harbor Bridge gets new life as a pedestrian bridge

Our colleague Casey Pieczonka visited a cool job site a few weeks ago. The Old Spanish Harbor Bridge was built from 1908-12 by Henry Flagler for the Overseas Railroad. #FDOT is rehabilitating this bridge for pedestrian traffic.

The contractor contacted us for a machine to inject hi-modulus epoxy for structural repair on the historic bridge. Our newest pump, the Patriot, is perfect for this application.

Developed and made in-house, the #MadeInTheUSA Patriot is a rotary gear-type, positive displacement, medium-pressure metering pump. Weighing in at a mere 90 lbs., this pump packs tremendous power, efficiency and versatility in a platform easily handled and operated by one person. It can be outfitted with a variety of guns for polyurea joint fill, epoxy injection, polyurethane void fill and slab stabilization, or low/medium pressure polyurea spray. Our compatible accessories include:

  • FlowMaster gun
  • FlowMaster pistol
  • Equalizer gun
  • DM 500 divorced manifold

On day 1 the contractor injected several gallons of 2:1 hi-mod epoxy for structural concrete repair. This project called for several hundred gallons of chemical, which the Patriot handled. If you are looking for a portable, durable, low/medium pressure output machine, this is the one for you.
