Dense foam used for China rail lift

Does density matter when it comes to lifting concrete with polyurethane foam? Only if you want the slab or structure to stay in its lifted position. You can lift concrete with any density foam over about a pound. Heck, you can lift concrete with water for that matter. But it isn’t going to stay there. The density of the foam ensures that the cell structure of the foam won’t collapse, the foam crush, and the structure settle. That’s why our contractor used Precision Lift 4.75# to lift and stabilize a freight rail line in China that settled due to erosion. Read the case study here.
