Stormwater system repair
When a sinkhole or other depression forms adjacent a manhole in a sanitary, potable or stormwater system, you can bet there is significant leakage happening out of that manhole. The exfiltration of water from the system washes away soil, creating the depression. That’s exactly the situation at a military housing subdivision in Richmond, Virginia. Leaking pipe connections into a manhole and cracks in the structure itself were the source of erosion. Chemical grouting with two Prime Resins polyurethanes solved the problem fairly quickly. The solution came at half the cost of a previous failed repair attempt. Read the full case study here.
