Can I winterize a Revolution pump?

We had a query from a customer who owns a Revolution pump system for slab lifting. He is in a cold environment and asked about winterizing the system.

Q:  How do I winterize my Revolution compact slab lifting system if I won’t be using it for a few months?

A:  There is no way to winterize or otherwise put the Revolution on long-term hiatus without damaging the hoses and gear pumps. No matter how well you flush, it is impossible to completely remove material from the system.

Here’s what you need to do to keep your Revolution in good working condition. On a bi-weekly basis,
1- disconnect the Equalizer gun from the A and B hoses
2- put the A & B hoses in their respective material tanks
3- recirculate material through the hoses back into the tank for about 10 minutes.

There is another reason to keep recirculating the system. This is a sealed system, so moisture contamination within it is unlikely, but not impossible. This would cause the isocyanates in the A material to crystallize in the hoses and gear pumps.
