Field Notes: Crack injection at a water treatment plant

Tech services was in Virginia this week to train a crew on crack injection with polyurethane grout to seal leaks in concrete. The crew is working at a water treatment plant and is using Prime Flex 900 XLV, our super low viscosity polyurethane grout. It was a perfect example of how a hydrophilic—water loving—chemical grout is a great option in sealing a fine crack like this. You can see how the grout injected low has traveled up the crack, chasing the water, which then seals the crack as it reacts, forming a water tight gasket.
